Pluralist conceptual engineering

Building on Wittgenstein’s ideas, I defend a brand of pluralism that associates words with conceptual families and appeals to this notion in the course philosophical problem solving. argue certain problems received view engineering (‘improvement by replacement’) faces can be more easily overcome if we adopt pluralist perspective. show proposed approach circumvent topic discontinuity, whilst also avoiding threat trivialisation, since it accommodate both coarse-grained fine-grained topics. Finally, my variant is compatible de novo insofar as allows paradigm associated word may shift overtime thus creating an opportunity for new candidate members join family.
